Hello and vanakkam!

Welcome to the abookoftheheart (yes, you say it without pause), where you will find writing about mundane musings, illness, mortality, travel, love, family family family, and many other everyday things that make up this long and short wondrous life. This substack is a new place of play for me, to figure out how to stretch my thinking about what writing looks like and how I can start having more fun with the words I have bubbling inside.

About Me: Well, you have to read to find out! (JK, but not really). Trying to write a book this year, got diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and spent 2023 trying to get through everything that entailed, been working in policy communications for most of my life. You can find out more about my work at www.arathidevandran.com.
